The Medical Scientific Liaison is responsible for providing high-quality, non-promotional scientific and medical support to ensure the safe, effective and evidence-based use of GSK vaccines. Through strategic scientific engagement with Healthcare Professionals, Key Opinion Leaders and professional Health Associations, both internally and externally, the Medical Scientific Liaison plays a critical role in operationalizing medical strategy. Leveraging deep scientific expertise and strong external partnerships, the Medical Scientific Liaison generates actionable medical insights that inform the development and execution of innovative Medical Affairs strategies and plans, while consistently upholding the highest standards of scientific integrity, compliance and governance.
Job Responsibility:
Provide high-quality, non-promotional scientific and medical support to ensure the safe, effective and evidence-based use of GSK vaccines
Work collaboratively with the Vaccines Medical team and other medical colleagues to develop and execute Medical Plan
Establish professional relationships with academic health care professionals, professional associations and other key stakeholders to provide a fair and balanced scientific exchange of medical information, modeling the highest standards of medical integrity and governance
Responding to unsolicited inquiries for medical information from external experts
Operate as the field based scientific/medical expert
Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of disease, its treatment and the competitive landscape
Integrate cardiometabolic expertise into medical strategy and external scientific engagement to identify and address evidence gaps, research opportunities and insights relevant to vaccine use in patients with cardiometabolic conditions
Requirements:
Advanced post graduate scientific degree required preferably internal Medicine
Demonstrable experience in cardiometabolic areas (cardiology, endocrinology, nephrology and related subspecialties), including management of chronic conditions and cardiovascular prevention
Preferable familiarity and prior experience with vaccines to facilitate understanding of the local portfolio, key stakeholders, and the country’s regulatory and access ecosystem
Ability to integrate cardiometabolic expertise into scientific interactions and medical strategies for vaccines, identifying evidence gaps, research opportunities and clinical insights that support study planning, publications, and educational activities
Strong written and spoken Spanish
Advanced English is preferred
Comfortable working independently, with reliable ability to travel within the assigned territory
Excellent communication and presentation skills and experience interacting with healthcare professionals
Demonstrated capability in project management and cross-functional collaboration within a matrix organization
Nice to have:
Experience using digital channels for scientific engagement and insight collection
Knowledge of clinical research processes and experience supporting clinical trials
