Job Description

Join NTT DATA as a Cross Technology Managed Services Engineer (L1) and be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring their IT infrastructure remains operational. This entry-level role requires a bachelor's degree in IT or Computing and offers opportunities for growth in a diverse and inclusive environment. You will troubleshoot technical incidents, monitor client systems, and contribute to disaster recovery functions. Relevant certifications such as CCNA and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are preferred. Job Responsibility

  • Be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring their IT infrastructure and systems remain operational
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve technical incidents and problems
  • Provide first-line support for standard and low-complexity incidents and service requests
  • Monitor client infrastructure and solutions
  • Provide telephonic, ITSM ticket or chat support
  • Perform maintenance activities such as patching and configuration changes
  • Work across two or more technology domains
  • Update existing knowledge articles or create new ones
  • Support project work
  • Contribute to disaster recovery functions and tests
  • Report and escalate incidents when necessary

Requirements

  • Entry-level experience with troubleshooting and providing the support required in security / network/ DATA center/ systems/ storage administration and monitoring Services within a medium to large ICT organization
  • Basic knowledge of management agents, redundancy concepts, and products within the supported technical domain (i.e. Security, Network, DATA Centre, Telephony, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL processes
  • Highly disciplined in handling of tickets on day-to-day basis
  • Good understanding of using ITSM tools
  • Skill in planning activities and projects in advance and adapting to changing circumstances
  • A client-centric approach
  • Ability to communicate and work across different cultures and social groups
  • Proficiency in active listening techniques
  • A positive outlook at work
  • Willingness to work hard and put in longer hours when necessary
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in IT or Computing (or demonstrated equivalent work experience)
  • Australian Citizens only, in line with NV1 security clearance requirements
