Job Description

Baptist Health is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our MRI Department at our Baptist South location. This MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing MRI exams on patients, insuring high quality diagnostic procedures and patient safety. In addition to performing MRI exams on patients this MRI Technologist will prepare patients for MRI exams and explain the procedure. The MRI Technologist will work closely with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information. This MRI Technologist will operate MRI equipment. This is a PRN, various shifts position.

Requirements

  • Vocational School
  • American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) Required Or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
  • Registered Technologist in Radiography ARRT (R) Required Or Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required Or Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT (MR) Required Or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required

  • Analyzes acquisition parameters and resulting sequences and identifies issues with the quality of images
  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and/or repeating images/sequences in conjunction with interpreting physicians and standard protocols
  • Maintains MRI Safety in accordance with safety recommendations outlined by the American College of Radiology and hospital policy
  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders
