Job Responsibility:
Effectively and efficiently performs age-appropriate MRI examinations while under the guidance of a registered staff MRI technologist and in accordance with Hospital and Departmental policies and procedures
Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building
Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures
Assumes responsibility for keeping informed about changes in policies and procedures
Participates in departmental in-service and educational offerings
Contributes to the overall quality of services
Performs or assists in performing quality MRI examinations in a timely and efficient manner while under the guidance of an ARRT registered MRI Technologist, ensuring consistent workflow and high level of productivity
Schedules procedures and maintains appropriate records which contribute to the efficiency of department operations
Coordinates with other departments as needed
Assists with room preparation and restocking of rooms and other departmental storage areas with supplies necessary for patient care and procedures
Participates in educational activities to enhance patient care and quality of services provided
Maintains appropriate education/credentials to accomplish work objectives
Remains in good standing with the apprenticeship sponsoring organization
Ensures age/developmentally appropriate care is provided in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served to ensure patient's needs are met
Requirements:
Graduate of an AMA or CMA accredited program in an imaging modality
Must be a current registered technologist in good standing with ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS
Certified in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Nice to have:
Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills – able to communicate on a professional level
Ability to work as part of a team and to work well with physicians, co-workers and other members of the health care team
