Job Description:

Join our MRI Technologist team as an Apprentice and be a part of our dynamic healthcare family at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Job Responsibility:

  • Effectively and efficiently performs age-appropriate MRI examinations while under the guidance of a registered staff MRI technologist and in accordance with Hospital and Departmental policies and procedures
  • Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment
  • Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures
  • Assumes responsibility for keeping informed about changes in policies and procedures
  • Participates in departmental in-service and educational offerings
  • Contributes to the overall quality of services
  • Performs or assists in performing quality MRI examinations in a timely and efficient manner
  • Schedules procedures and maintains appropriate records
  • Coordinates with other departments as needed
  • Assists with room preparation and restocking of rooms and other departmental storage areas with supplies necessary for patient care and procedures
  • Participates in educational activities to enhance patient care and quality of services provided
  • Maintains appropriate education/credentials to accomplish work objectives
  • Remains in good standing with the apprenticeship sponsoring organization
  • Ensures age/developmentally appropriate care is provided

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an AMA or CMA accredited program in an imaging modality
  • Must be a current registered technologist in good standing with ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS
  • Certified in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

  • Ability to work as part of a team and to work well with physicians, co-workers and other members of the health care team
