Job Description:

As an MRI Tech, you are an expert in operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners. MRI Techs help prepare patients for the procedure, position them for imaging, and provide instructions, so you must have good communication skills with a calm bedside manner. Travelers work for a limited amount of time at a particular location, providing patient care and support before moving on to their next exciting adventure. Travel healthcare professionals are experienced caregivers who adapt quickly to change and enjoy learning new things. Take your skills on the road and explore somewhere new—all while earning a great living!

Job Responsibility:

  • Help prepare patients for the procedure
  • Position patients for imaging
  • Provide instructions to patients

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years recent experience in the job's primary area of care
  • Active license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states
  • Additional requirements & certifications as may be requested by the specific facility/unit
  • An enthusiastic, adventurous spirit with a desire to help

  • Reviews consultation request, checking for special instructions from requesting physician and consults with the Radiologist or referring physician's office as necessary
  • Pleasantly greets patients, confirming their identification and introducing yourself
  • Completely explains examination procedure to the patient and their family if present

  • Prepares and administers contrast media for administration by injection and reviews all pertinent forms
