We are seeking a highly motivated MRI Application Engineer to support veterinary practices by optimizing imaging protocols, training users, and ensuring the seamless operation of MRI systems. This role requires international travel to veterinary clinics and hospitals to deliver hands-on technical support and expertise in veterinary imaging.
Job Responsibility:
Client Engagement and Relationship Building: Assist the sales team during pre-sales activities by showcasing MRI capabilities and addressing technical questions specific to veterinary applications
Maintain strong client relationships through proactive support and regular follow-ups
Veterinary MRI Support and Training: Provide on-site and remote technical support to veterinary clinics for MRI system installations, troubleshooting, and software updates
Train veterinary professionals, including radiologists and technicians, on the operation of MRI systems, safety protocols, and imaging techniques tailored for animal patients
Protocol Development and Optimization: Collaborate with clinics to customize and refine MRI protocols for veterinary imaging, ensuring high-quality results across various species and conditions across different MRI models
Stay updated on advancements in veterinary MRI and integrate new techniques into client workflows
Travel and Representation: Travel extensively to veterinary clinics and hospitals for installations, training, and ongoing support (domestic and international)
Represent the company at veterinary trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote products and services
Documentation and Reporting: Create user manuals, training materials, and technical guides tailored to veterinary applications
Document client interactions, feedback, and system updates to ensure continuous improvement
Requirements:
Completion of a recognized Medical Imaging certification program (focusing on MRI) is required
At least 1 - 2 years of experience hands on with the MRI, with a focus on veterinary or preclinical imaging is preferred but experience in the human imaging field is also welcomed
Strong Expertise in MRI Systems: In-depth knowledge of MRI systems and their application in veterinary practices, with hands-on experience using equipment from Esaote, Siemens, and GE (experience with other manufacturers is a plus)
Ability to create and optimize MRI protocols is a must
Proficiency in Imaging Software: Skilled in operating and troubleshooting imaging software and systems commonly used in veterinary medicine
Quantitative MRI Expertise: Competent in advanced techniques such as T1 and T2 mapping, and cardiac imaging for comprehensive diagnostics
Advanced Imaging Techniques: Familiarity with pulse sequence programming and other advanced imaging techniques to optimize protocols and enhance imaging quality
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with veterinary professionals
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
English is our working language so proficiency in oral and written skills of English is required
Willingness to travel up to 25% - 50% of the time internationally
Nice to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Engineering, Medical Imaging, or MRI Imaging is plus
