Job Description:

This role is a four-month fixed term contract as a Moves Team Technician, joining a small, tightknit team responsible for moving crew members between Wētā FX’s twelve facilities in Wellington’s Eastern Suburbs. The role is multi-disciplinary, involving both facilities and support tasks. Weekend and evening work will be required, as will heavy lifting, so being in good physical health is important.

Job Responsibility:

  • Packing down offices
  • including fragile and high value items in a secure manner
  • Moving, configuring and testing IT equipment
  • Escalating issues with setups to either the Support Technical Engineer - Moves Team or the appropriate Support team crew member
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and performing occasional asset audits
  • Ensuring IT equipment and cabling is stored or connected in a presentable and safe fashion
  • Loading/packing a variety of vehicles in a secure, safe and timely manner
  • Cleaning vehicle fleet, assets and facilities
  • Communicating effectively before, during and after a relocation
  • Ensuring relocated workstations are fully completed, left in a tidy, ordered way (to Wētā FX guidelines)
  • Light IT skills & troubleshooting/knowledge of how to plug in a machine

Requirements:

  • Experience in relocations/logistics/removals
  • Full NZ Driver's License preffered
  • Experience and knowledge with current WorkSafe expectations and guidelines
  • Being able to work well in team
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • An eye for detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Be able to use your initiative
  • Strive to maintain a resilient and constructive workspace within your team
  • Legally able to work in NZ
