Job Description:

As the Moulding Plant Head, you will be responsible for leading and driving the technical and strategic operations of the moulding plant. Your role will focus on ensuring the highest levels of operational efficiency, product quality, and innovation while aligning with the company’s long-term goals. This position requires a deep understanding of moulding technologies, strategic planning, and leadership expertise to achieve excellence in manufacturing.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize scrap rates
  • Plan and execute capacity enhancements to meet forecasted demand and business growth objectives
  • Oversee the operation of injection moulding machines, ensuring optimal parameters for precision and quality
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to mould design, material selection, and machine performance
  • Drive innovations in moulding processes, including automation, robotics, and advanced materials
  • Build and lead a technically skilled team of engineers, supervisors, and operators
  • Provide technical training to enhance team expertise in moulding operations and maintenance
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Develop predictive and preventive maintenance schedules for moulding equipment to maximize uptime
  • Manage tooling lifecycle, including design reviews, modifications, and procurement of new moulds
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations related to health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Promote a safety-first culture by conducting risk assessments and implementing best practices
  • Prepare and manage operational budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources
  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives without compromising on quality or delivery timelines

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Technology, or a related technical field
  • 10+ years of experience in injection moulding or plastic processing, with at least 5 years in a senior management role
  • Proven expertise in handling high-volume, precision manufacturing environments
  • Experience in handling more than 50 Molding machines
  • Deep knowledge of injection moulding machines (like Engel, etc.) and auxiliary equipment
  • Expertise in mould flow analysis, mould design principles, and polymer materials science
  • Familiarity with advanced manufacturing technologies such as Industry 4.0, IoT, and data analytics in production
  • Strong understanding of supply chain dynamics and production scheduling
  • Ability to align plant operations with organizational goals and market trends
  • Proficiency in SAP/ERP systems, production planning tools, and data-driven decision-making
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams
  • Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
