Job Description:

Permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday. Commitment required to work from 6:30am weekdays. As our Postie based out of the Ayr Delivery Centre, you’ll be operating and delivering on our Motorcycle as the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting Australians every single day. You’ll be working autonomously out on-the-road, interacting with others and being a team player. This position may transition to an Electric Delivery Vehicle from a motorcycle depending on future business requirements so applicants will need to be open to both modes of delivery when applying.

Job Responsibility:

  • Start day early in the morning, sorting mail and small parcels with teammates at the facility
  • Complete daily vehicle safety check
  • Load vehicle with deliveries for the day
  • Deliver outdoors in all types of weather to homes and businesses

Requirements:

  • Hold a full or probationary QLD motorcycle licence
  • Ride a geared motorcycle currently, regularly, and confidently
  • Successfully pass mandatory and practical motorcycle assessment
  • Flexible with finishing times and working additional hours if required
  • Good memory, great hand/eye coordination, and excellent attention to detail for sorting mail
  • Enjoy physical work indoors and outdoors
  • Can lift up to 16kgs of Mail and Parcels regularly
  • Meet safe working vehicle load limit of weighing under 100kgs fully clothed (including helmet)
  • Open to being flexible to transition to be trained and deliver on an Electric Delivery Vehicle if business requirements change
