Job Description:

Full performance MVOs are responsible for the transportation of Sponsor personnel by car, van, shuttle or motorcoach bus to various government and commercial buildings throughout the WMA, as well as beyond the WMA when needed. This level of full performance MVO will only execute daily on and off campus shuttle and fleet transfer requirements. Due to the important nature of TSC's mission, all TSC contractors, including contractor MVOs, are considered 'essential' during periods of temporary government facilities shutdown due to inclement weather emergencies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Safely and securely transport Sponsor customers based on daily requests from TSC Dispatch
  • Operate cars, vans, shuttles, and/or motorcoach buses for fleet transfers and personnel transport
  • Verbally acknowledge driving assignments, verify passengers, and communicate updates to TSC Dispatch
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of traffic, parking, and safety rules
  • Ensure passenger safety by observing traffic laws and practicing defensive driving
  • Maintain communication with TSC Dispatch and report incidents
  • Utilize maps and GPS to plan efficient routes and complete schedules
  • Analyze driver assignments for passenger count, locations, routes, and vehicle needs
  • Submit completed driver assignment metrics and tickets
  • Exhibit heightened situational awareness in Intelligence Community environment
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance and safety checks (fuel, oil, tires, cleaning)
  • Ensure DOT regulations and safety-checks are met
  • Assist in updating SOPs and training new/junior MVOs
  • Assist new contractor MVOs on functions, customer service, professionalism, and situational awareness

Requirements:

  • Active Secret US Government clearance
  • US Citizenship
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record (negative points not exceeding -4, zero driving suspensions/revocations, zero serious motor vehicle violations, not assigned to alcohol safety/driver improvement programs)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of driving experience including at least 6 months driving passenger shuttles or charter buses
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with 'P' (passenger) endorsement
  • Must provide yearly DOT card update
  • Willingness to obtain ADA training and certification
