Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Motor Underwriter to join our clients team in the City of London (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of motor underwriting experience and possess strong knowledge of insurance product features and processes.

Job Responsibility:

  • Underwrite personal motor insurances within agreed guidelines and authority levels
  • Underwrite new and existing businesses, provide quotes, and negotiate pricing
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with brokers, providing technical support
  • Provide high-quality customer service and handle all queries
  • Ensure accurate policy documentation is issued to brokers or customers
  • Liaise with other departments such as Claims, Finance, and IT

Requirements:

  • At least 3+ years of motor underwriting experience
  • Knowledge of insurance product features and processes
  • Good knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Strong communication and negotiating skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • CII qualification is desirable
