Job Description:

Full Time – Motor Mechanic position available with competitive salary. Work in a dynamic team in 2 Talbot Street, Saint Peters, 2044, NSW. Apply today! You will be responsible for repairs and maintenance services on motor vehicles by inspecting, diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and other defects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Discuss problems with car drivers or vehicle operators to discover faults in engines and parts
  • Carry out schedule services and repairs to vehicles as direct, such as engine tune-ups, oil changes and lubrication
  • Provide diagnosis, conduct tests and repairs and provide the costs to fix the faults
  • Maintains vehicle functional condition by conducting inspections, repairing engine failures, repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions
  • Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions, differentials or steering gear, dismantling them and checking parts, referring to motor vehicle manuals as necessary
  • Liaise with suppliers in ordering parts required for repairs of motor vehicles
  • Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test-drives, adjusting controls and systems
  • Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs undertaken
  • Carry out maintenance servicing by changing fluids and parts and conducting tune-ups of engines to ensure the vehicle is running smoothly. Provide the car drivers or vehicle operators of the jobs undertaken and arrange for the next required servicing
  • Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance
