Job Description

Lawes Group is supporting an Insurance Broker in their search for an experienced Account Executive to join their Motor Fleet team based in the Essex office. The role will provide support to Directors, Associate Directors, and Senior Account Executives while taking ownership of an inherited client portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, retaining, and growing this portfolio through cross-selling and new business development, primarily within the motor fleet market.

Job Responsibility

  • Achieve sales and profitability objectives through new and existing client relationships
  • Inherit and manage a motor fleet portfolio of c.£1m GWP
  • Prospect and develop new client relationships within a defined geography or market
  • Identify and understand client needs, providing tailored insurance solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Cross-sell additional products and actively seek new business opportunities
  • Communicate effectively with insurers, clients, and finance houses
  • Prepare reports and presentations as required
  • Ensure premiums are collected and renewals invited within agreed time scales
  • Carry out policy adjustments via email and insurer portal systems
  • Manage day-to-day servicing of a motor fleet client portfolio
  • Handle client enquiries, policy adjustments, and renewals
  • Attend and organise face-to-face client meetings
  • Liaise with insurers to negotiate terms and secure cover
  • Manage emails, diary entries, and administrative tasks efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and service standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience in motor fleet insurance is essential
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
