We currently have an exciting new opportunity to join our Defendant Litigation Team at DLG Legal Services as Motor Damage Defendant Litigator. This is a permanent and full-time position, that can be based from our Bristol office (hybrid working).
Job Responsibility:
Deliver high-quality, cost-effective handling of litigated Defendant Motor Damage claims in line with legal, regulatory, and client requirements
Provide technical expertise and ownership of complex litigation, ensuring cases are progressed proactively and resolved efficiently
Combine strong legal judgement with a customer-focused approach to support positive customer outcomes and business performance
Contribute to team capability, consistency, and continuous improvement across the function
Defend litigated motor damage claims from receipt of proceedings to settlement or final hearing
Handle high-quality litigated claims effectively and within agreed timescales
Ensure consistent compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements
Develop clear, defensible case strategies that balance customer outcomes and cost effectiveness
Support positive customer experience through timely, transparent communication
Improve team capability and consistency through knowledge sharing and technical support
Contribute to improved efficiency, quality, and business performance
Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or CILEx with a current practising certificate and the right to conduct litigation
Proven experience in civil litigation, ideally within motor damage or insurance-related matters
Strong technical capability in drafting, negotiation, and case management
Sound commercial judgement and understanding of cost-effective litigation strategy
