We currently have an exciting new opportunity to join our Defendant Litigation Team at DLG Legal Services as Motor Damage Defendant Litigator. This is a permanent and full-time position, that can be based from our Bristol office (hybrid working).

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver high-quality, cost-effective handling of litigated Defendant Motor Damage claims in line with legal, regulatory, and client requirements
  • Provide technical expertise and ownership of complex litigation, ensuring cases are progressed proactively and resolved efficiently
  • Combine strong legal judgement with a customer-focused approach to support positive customer outcomes and business performance
  • Contribute to team capability, consistency, and continuous improvement across the function
  • Defend litigated motor damage claims from receipt of proceedings to settlement or final hearing
  • Handle high-quality litigated claims effectively and within agreed timescales
  • Ensure consistent compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements
  • Develop clear, defensible case strategies that balance customer outcomes and cost effectiveness
  • Support positive customer experience through timely, transparent communication
  • Improve team capability and consistency through knowledge sharing and technical support

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) or CILEx with a current practising certificate and the right to conduct litigation
  • Proven experience in civil litigation, ideally within motor damage or insurance-related matters
  • Strong technical capability in drafting, negotiation, and case management
