Job Description:

Our advertising agency client is seeking an award-winning Senior Motion Designer / Video Editor to join their team on an ongoing, fully remote basis operating on Eastern Time. This role is ideal for a highly creative, storytelling-driven editor who excels at both transforming existing footage into compelling, modern content and building new narratives from raw footage. This position blends AI-driven repurposing of legacy assets with end-to-end creation of original video content, requiring a strong editorial voice, motion expertise, and strategic thinking. The ideal candidate brings exceptional craft, a sharp storytelling lens, and the ability to deliver emotionally impactful work across multiple formats in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead video editing from concept through final delivery, including integration of motion, sound, and color
  • Create compelling, narrative-driven content from raw footage, shaping story, pacing, and structure
  • Repurpose and elevate existing video assets using AI-powered tools and advanced editing techniques
  • Apply strong storytelling skills across formats, including cutdowns from :30 to :15 while maintaining emotional impact
  • Develop motion-forward content, including dot animation and looped video assets for presentations and events
  • Collaborate with creative and account teams to align on vision, objectives, and execution
  • Provide strategic recommendations on both new content creation and asset reuse
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
  • Ensure all deliverables meet high-quality creative and technical standards

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in motion designer and video editing within an ad agency, production company, or post-production environment
  • Award-winning or portfolio-level work showcasing both original storytelling and repurposed content
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Strong experience in motion design and animation (including dot animation)
  • Proven experience using AI tools for video editing and content creation/repurposing
  • Skills in color correction and sound design
  • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives from raw footage as well as existing assets
  • Strong storytelling portfolio with examples of narrative-driven work across multiple formats
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with shifting priorities
