Job Description:

The role is responsible for standards and controls in the business, ensuring effective design, assessment, monitoring, and execution through establishment of protocols, assessment, risk mitigation, oversight, reporting, and self-assurance activities.

Job Responsibility:

Supervise coordinators in performance of less complex tasks and processes to ensure timely completion, quality, and compliance of assigned work
Identify opportunities for process improvement, risk management, and control opportunities
Make day-to-day supervisory and tactical decisions and resolve issues related to team supervision, work allocation, and daily operations under direction of senior management
leverage interpretation of existing policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Collaborate with and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for aligned department or business group
Be responsible for selection, evaluation, and development of staff

Requirements:

2+ years of risk management, business controls, or compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
1+ years of leadership experience

Nice to have:

Experience in Business Execution, Implementation, Strategic Planning, or equivalent
6+ years of overall experience with at least 3+ years of previous experience within US residential mortgage underwriting environment, managing varied workflows
2+ years of team leadership or management experience
NMLS Safe Act Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) License, a strong advantage but not required
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong stakeholder management and stateside partnership skills
College graduate, preferred
