Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Mortgage Retail Sales Consultant (SAFE) in Consumer Lending as part of Home Lending. This position involves soliciting residential mortgages, building relationships with real estate professionals, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibility:

Solicit residential mortgages from various sources
Produce high quality compliant loans
Build relationships with realtors, builders, financial professionals
Develop and maintain visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage
Present recommendations for producing loans
Understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and transactions
Receive customer applications, quote rates and points
Review and analyze financial and credit data
Match customer needs with appropriate loan programs
Inform customers of mortgage programs, rates, and policies

Requirements:

2+ years of Mortgage Retail Sales experience
SAFE registration at time of employment
Meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements
Compliance with financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards
Ability to lift 20+ pounds
Reliable transportation
Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed

Nice to have:

Basic Microsoft Office skills
Documented retail residential mortgage fundings over past 12 months
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Mortgage industry experience
Knowledge and understanding of sales prospecting and generating referrals
Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships
Customer service experience
