Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Mortgage Retail Sales Consultant (SAFE) in Consumer Lending as part of Home Lending. This position involves soliciting residential mortgages, building relationships with real estate professionals, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibility:

Participate in soliciting residential mortgages from various sources
Produce high quality compliant loans with excellent customer service
Build relationships with realtors, builders, financial professionals, bank stores, past customers
Develop and maintain high visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in marketplace
Present recommendations for producing loans
Understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate transactions
Receive customer applications, quote rates and points
Review and analyze financial and credit data
Match customer needs with appropriate loan programs
Inform customers of Wells Fargo programs, rates, policies
Maintain high standard of client satisfaction

Requirements:

2+ years of Mortgage Retail Sales experience or equivalent through work experience, training, military experience, or education
SAFE registration at time of employment
Compliance with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements
Ability to lift 20+ pounds
Reliable transportation
Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed

Nice to have:

Basic Microsoft Office skills
Documented retail residential mortgage fundings over past 12 months from established local external sources
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Mortgage industry experience
Knowledge and understanding of sales prospecting and generating referrals
Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships
Customer service experience
