Job Responsibility:

  • Under the general direction of a department manager, responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities related to all loan processing, loan servicing and/or default management functions along with the corresponding operational functions
  • Provides supervision and guidance to employees in assigned area(s)
  • manages their work flow, ensuring timelines, quality and service expectations are met
  • Interfaces with other departments, regions, vendors, agencies, etc., to resolve support-related issues
  • Communicates new policies, procedures, and products to staff
  • Maintains a high level of customer service both internally and externally
  • Provides ongoing training, coaching, motivating, and team building of support staff
  • Recommends hires, transfers, terminations, salary adjustments, performance standards, and reviews of support staff
  • Approves employee time records, work assignments, vacations, sick pay, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically four or more years of relevant experience
  • Good understanding of all aspects of loan processing and loan servicing support functions along with the associated operational policies and practices
  • Strong decision-making, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Basic knowledge of human resources policies and programs
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and effectively lead individuals

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Government loans including, FHA, VA, HFA
  • Quality control and/or audit experience
