Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in mortgage loan processing or a related field
Strong customer service skills, preferably within a banking or credit union environment
Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with loan administration and mortgage processing procedures
Knowledge of mortgage closing and lending practices
Experience with loan origination systems is preferred

Job Responsibility

Facilitate the mortgage loan process by supporting loan originators with tasks such as completing and validating applications
Request and confirm mortgage rate locks, ensuring accuracy during the origination process
Collect and review financial documents required for applications, including appraisals and title searches
Verify and update loan application details, addressing errors and ensuring compliance with lending guidelines
Prepare loan files for underwriting, ensuring all conditions are satisfied and ready for submission
Address quality control findings and resolve issues before funding
Assist members with mortgage intake and provide exceptional customer service
Prepare closing documents and coordinate with escrow to finalize funding processes
Balance final Closing Disclosure documents and submit wire requests for approval
Handle inbound and outbound calls related to mortgage origination and servicing

Process or close loans and act as a main point of contact for internal or external customers during the loan process
Perform administrative, operational, or customer support tasks related to complex loan packages
Manage an assigned pipeline of all loan types relative to business line
Provide subject matter expertise and interpretation of procedures to the team of Loan Documentation specialists to ensure timely completion of work
