We’re partnering with a leading community bank to hire a Mortgage Loan Closing Specialist to support Retail Lending Operations. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and experienced in loan closing processes.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform quality control reviews to ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and authorized to close
  • Manage the loan closing pipeline, coordinating dates in line with rate locks and commitment expirations
  • Serve as a key liaison with closing attorneys and correspondent lenders—reviewing documentation, requesting corrections, and preparing closing packages
  • Calculate and disburse net funds via wire or online deposit
  • Review post‑closing legal documents and communicate deficiencies
  • Maintain compliance with federal/state regulations, internal policies, and audit readiness
  • Support Loan Processing as needed and prepare required management reports

Requirements

  • 3+ years of lending experience, including 1 year in mortgage loan closing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines while working independently
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem‑solving ability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
