Mortgage Lending Officer

• Consult with customers about their financial situation and lending needs
• Collect and analyze customer financial information
• Analyze financial information to assess qualification for lending solutions
• Make recommendations to customers about lending solutions
• Advise customers about consequences, risks, and benefits of alternative lending solutions
• Promote Citi's brand and financial services
• Visit customers outside of Citi's offices
• Work as a team with internal partners
• Refer customers to appropriate Citi professionals
• Partner with Operations teams for seamless loan application transfer
• Work with Processors/Closers to ensure timely loan closing
• Develop referral relationships with Realtors, CPA's, Builders
• Introduce clients to segment partners
• Keep abreast of trends and developments in local marketplace
• Assess risk when making business decisions

• 2-5 years relevant experience
• 3+ years previous mortgage sales experience required
• Residential Mortgage experience required
• Established book of business
• Proven product sales capability is required
• FHA/VA & conventional loan experience is preferred
• The ability to comprehend and explain financial calculations and pricing alternatives
• The ability to communicate with customers about the proper documents and information needed to obtain a particular loan
• Knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern consumer lending, including fair lending, privacy, and RESPA
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Strong relationship development and management skills
• Expertise of general lending products and overall mortgage industry
• Must register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry
