Job Description:

Financial organization located in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Mortgage Collections Specialist focused on contacting borrowers to collect on past due mortgage payments, reviewing loan documents, answering incoming calls, setting up payment plans, and documenting all borrower communications.

Job Responsibility:

Contact borrowers to collect on past due mortgage payments
Review loan documents for correct contact information
Answer incoming calls
Set up and review payment plans
Document all communication and communication attempts with the borrower
Escalate complex issues to managers
Answer questions from borrowers pertaining to their mortgage
Meet performance goals, including call and response metrics
Maintain compliance with laws, policies, and industry standards
Research loan records, resolve issues, and ensure accurate data maintenance
Help identify and manage risks encountered during daily responsibilities
Adhere to regulatory guidelines and company compliance protocols

Requirements:

Proficiency in commercial collections, mortgage collections or consumer collections
Familiarity with mortgage lending processes
Understanding of mortgage and financial systems
Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
Ability to use general office equipment
Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software

Nice to have:

Prior experience working in the banking, financial services or mortgage industry
Mortgage background
Strong collections background
