Join an experienced collections team within a well established financial service company. Our client, a highly reputable financial services firm in Chatswood, specialises in Commercial Collections within business finance, insurance, loans and investments. They are looking for an experienced Collections Officer to join their high-performing team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing a large ledger of secured asset contracts that require monthly collections
  • Managing a large ledger of secured asset contracts that require recoveries actions
  • Skip tracing early-stage delinquencies and late-stage debtors using private databases and open source intelligence tools
  • Negotiating collections, settlements and payment plans with debtors
  • Liaising with 3rd party repossession teams about location of assets and debtors to enforce contract terms and recover missing/stolen assets
  • Preparing and sending documents to clients and repossession teams
  • Documenting accurate and thorough notes surrounding recoveries activities
  • Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound collections calls with professionalism
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all communications in the database
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive client relationships throughout the collections process

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in mortgage collections, specifically with skip tracing tools and techniques
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence in using collections databases and skip tracing resources
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • A positive and resilient attitude with a clear desire to grow within the company
  • Late stage recoveries is a must
