Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Mortgage Assistant to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, assisting homeowners with mortgage solutions while addressing default-related issues. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in loss mitigation and mortgage servicing while demonstrating exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assess homeowners' qualifications for various mortgage assistance programs and propose suitable solutions
  • Facilitate negotiations for workout agreements and create trial, repayment, or forbearance plans tailored to individual needs
  • Monitor foreclosure and pre-foreclosure activities, ensuring timely review of mortgage assistance production reports and other relevant data
  • Collaborate with team members to manage default-related reports and maintain compliance with industry standards
  • Provide exceptional support in handling escalated delinquent accounts, ensuring prompt resolution
  • Stay informed about foreclosure and bankruptcy procedures to effectively assist clients
  • Perform accurate documentation and tracking of loss mitigation agreements and related activities
  • Deliver consistent updates and reports to stakeholders while meeting deadlines
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail in all tasks and communications
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support team objectives

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in collections or loss mitigation
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification
  • Prior experience in mortgage servicing, portfolio management, or default servicing
  • Familiarity with loan modifications, forbearances, and national real estate management processes
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly
  • Proven ability to solve problems and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining productivity
