Job Description:

Sales Specialists & Consultants lead pursuits in assigned focus areas, collaborate with account managers, drive proactive sales campaigns, and provide expertise. Specialists are responsible for building pipelines, negotiating, and closing deals within their area of specialization. They maintain competitive knowledge, develop consultative client relationships, and occasionally sell outsourcing deals or manage service contract renewals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for creating and driving their sales pipeline
  • capture leads outside of specialization and use closed-loop lead management to ensure assignment and follow-up by others
  • maintain knowledge of competitors in account to strategically position the company's products and services better
  • use specialty expertise to seek out new opportunities and expand and enhance existing opportunities to build the pipeline and drive pursuit
  • provide support to account managers and provide input regarding business development and solution expertise
  • development of quota objectives and future direction for defined product category
  • establish a professional, working, and consultative relationship with the client
  • work with and leverage external partners to deliver sales
  • focus on growing contractual renewals for mid-to-large accounts with complexity to higher-total contract-value renewals

Requirements:

  • University or Bachelor's degree
  • directly related previous work experience
  • demonstrated achievement of progressively higher quota, diversity of business customer, and higher level customer interface
  • extensive selling experience within industry and on similar products
  • typically 6+ years of selling Cloud
  • experience selling to Enterprise level accounts required
  • experience hunting for net new logos required
  • must be located within driving distance of the greater San Jose region and have the ability to travel within the San Jose region to customer sites on a regular basis
  • alternatively, must be open to relocation to San Jose or California area
