Job Description:

We have a fantastic opportunity on a full-time permanent basis for Mooring Operatives based in and around the Port of Liverpool.

Job Responsibility:

  • Mooring and unmooring vessels in accordance with safe working practices, under the direction of vessel pilots or crew members
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors, colleagues and other stakeholders, to provide an effective and professional service
  • Operating a handheld VHF radio, for communicating with colleagues or vessels
  • Driving a company vehicle (for the purpose of transporting yourself and other work colleagues to work sites)
  • Deploying, monitoring and dismantling Shore Tension equipment
  • Provide bridge operation and assistance when required (for the two bridges at Birkenhead)
  • Be a member of the gig-boat crew during operations, both within the Port and at Tranmere Oil Terminal

Requirements:

  • Flexible with working hours and shift work
  • Positive can-do attitude with a desire to succeed in a challenging environment
  • Must be able to provide relevant documentation confirming the right to work in the UK
