Job Description

The Better Cotton Initiative, the world's leading cotton sustainability initiative, has over 2,500 members and approximately 13,000 non-member suppliers interacting with the Better Cotton Platform (BCP). To safeguard the credibility of the initiative and manage reputational and regulatory risk, we operate a Member Monitoring Protocol and compliance process aligned to our Code of Practice. To date, monitoring activities have focused on Members only and rely significantly on manual processes. As membership numbers grow and external scrutiny intensifies - driven by emerging corporate due diligence legislation and heightened stakeholder expectations – we have reassessed the scope, scalability, and risk prioritisation of the monitoring programme and are implementing a new revised monitoring and due diligence model. The Monitoring Sr Coordinator will oversee the implementation of the new monitoring approach to ensure consistent and thorough implementation working closely with the Monitoring Officer on approval processes, technology and automation adoption, and consistent implementation of escalation processes among other key priorities.

  • Identify, explore, and implement integration opportunities with existing social compliance programmes
  • Advise on data integration/automation needs between business-critical systems
  • Serve as the focal point for member complaints and reporting function risks to the BCI Risk Register
  • Own the complaints resolution process for Demand & Engagement

  • Efficient organisation of administrative work, strong process orientation and project management skills
  • Strong ability to enforce good project governance and drive delivery excellence
  • Fluency in English is required, additional languages a plus
