Job Responsibility:

This position is for a Monitoring Administrator supporting the ALTESS, Army Enterprise Data Centers, and Commercial Cloud services infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Fully adjudicated DOD Secret, as a minimum
  • CompTIA Security+
  • Computing Environment Certification
  • 3 to 5 years experience performing the following: Add remove nodes from SolarWinds or similar monitor tool
  • Create/Modify Network Atlas maps
  • Put nodes into maintenance mode
  • Coordinate with service desk on outages
  • Create custom Views in SolarWinds
  • Create custom SQL statements for Service Desk Views
  • Add/remove AD groups/users from SolarWinds access
  • Modify access to AD groups or users
  • Creates/modifies Alerts
  • Install/upgrade new software to servers
  • Add additional servers to cluster
  • Create custom application monitors
  • Create more complex alerts
  • Create Network Topology Maps and as well as Infrastructure Topology Maps
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working with SNMPv3 and WMI
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working with SQL statements
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working with Windows file system structure
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working with Unix file system structure
  • 3 to 5 years of experience working with the ALTESS Network or Network infrastructure
  • Demonstrated advanced skills with SNMPv3 and WMI
  • Strong technical background with the analytical ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex problems in a secure multi-tier networked computing environment
  • Strong understanding of common network protocols
  • Excellent understanding of Windows and Unix system internals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Well organized team player

  • Ensure that all eligible sites and forecourt devices are accurately integrated and monitored within the CK’s Insite 360 system

  • Develop & administer Site on- boarding / Off boarding processes
  • Continuously monitor the Insite 360 system's performance to ensure the uptime and health of critical infrastructure such as fuel dispensers

  • Provide tier 3 level support for troubleshooting and resolving system-related incidents and service requests
