Job Description:

Join our team as a day shift, full-time, Central Telemetry Monitoring Monitor Technician in Amarillo, TX. BSA Hospital is a 445-bed hospital serving the Amarillo area for over 120 years and continues to be Amarillo’s preferred healthcare provider. At BSA, the focus is to provide quality healthcare in Christian love, service, and dignity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Continuous observation, interpretation, and documentation of cardiac rhythms for patients on telemetry monitoring
  • Supports patient safety by promptly identifying and communicating changes in cardiac status to licensed nursing staff and clinical leaders

Requirements:

  • High School (or GED equivalent) diploma
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and basic electrophysiology
  • Ability to accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and identify arrhythmias
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remain focused during prolonged monitoring
  • Effective verbal communication skills, particularly in urgent or emergent situations
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate electronic medical records and monitoring systems

Nice to have:

  • Previous experience as a Monitor Technician, Telemetry Technician, or similar role
  • Experience in an acute care hospital or telemetry unit
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
