Monitor technician

Responsible for the monitoring and recognition of continuous electrocardiographic telemetry

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Successful completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course or successful completion of an arrhythmia test given by the Education Department
• Basic PC knowledge and medical terminology
• Current BLS certification
• Certification of completion of a Cardiac Monitoring EKG course
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department
