Amentum is a trusted partner to United States government agencies, allied governments, and corporations worldwide supporting critical programs across a broad range of domains. We are hiring a Mid-Level M&S Developer to support key programs at NSWC Crane. This position will be based on-site at NWSC Crane.

Job Responsibility

  • Interpret military mission threads and extract key attributes to be modeled
  • Interpret system technical documentation and extract key attributes to be modeled
  • Develop digital representations of system attributes and system behaviors
  • Integrate modeling elements into M&S toolsets that predict system-of-systems performance
  • Generate design documentation and maintain version control
  • Validate that M&S toolsets produce realistic results

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering job or scientific research job
  • 1+ years of experience integrating digital models to predict system-of-systems performance
  • 1+ years of experience working in a secure integrated data environment
  • Familiar with (or similar): AFSIM
  • ITASE
  • Matlab
  • Python
  • SysML models
  • Bachelor’s degree from ABET-accredited engineering program, or computer science major, or mathematics major
  • Must have an Active US Government Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI US Government Clearance

  • Develop unit tests, preferably as Cucumber scenarios, in order to support the transition and development of MATLAB reference implementations in Java
  • Use DevSecOps principles to setup and maintain nightly pipelines to support automated analysis / test and continuous integration testing of algorithm reference implementations
  • Provide demonstrations of their ADDs and reference implementations as part of Agile sprints with their respective Integrated Product Team (IPT) to the Project Owners (POs) and Release Train Engineer (RTE)
  • Provide technical support to the IPTs in order to develop M&S tools that help verify and validate the tactical implementation of algorithms
