Model Laboratory School Teacher, Early Childhood

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the location and at the times designated
• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning
• Prepares for classes assigned
• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior
• Guides the learning process toward achievement of curriculum goals
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media
• Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis
• Takes precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
• Maintains accurate records
• Assists in implementing policies and rules
• Plans and supervises assignments for volunteers and substitute teachers
• Attends staff meetings and participates on committees
• Follows all University and Model Lab policies
• Responsible for cooperation with students, parents, staff, and community
• Cooperates with investigations
• Available for parent conferences
• Participates in graduation exercises
• Knows and remains updated regarding early childhood teaching laws
• Maintains regular attendance
• Demonstrates progress in teaching, scholarship and service
• Performs other duties as assigned
