Job Description

QTEC Aerospace is seeking a MODEL BASED SYSTEMS ENGINNER to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of a team of professionals representing both industry and government. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, have a proven track record and a positive work ethic.

Job Responsibility

Responsible for developing systems engineering products that directly support the design and development of program capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of experience
  • Masters' degree in STEM with 3 years of experience
  • or PhD in STEM with 1 year of experience
  • Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment
  • Working knowledge of systems engineering principles and processes
  • Experience with requirements decomposition and requirements management
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS
  • Thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
  • Self-motivated and customer-oriented
  • Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience with Requirement Verification methods such as Test
  • Ground-Based Missile Defense (GMD) Knowledge
  • Demonstrated independent planning, organization, and working in cross-functional teams with a customer focus
  • Understanding of the Systems Engineering V-Model
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and associated tools
  • Experience with Agile Development
  • INCOSE or System Engineering certification
