Mockup Artist Job at Kaleidoscope® (Chicago)

Job Description

The Mockup Artist is an experienced packaging prototype craftsman who demonstrates the advanced skills required to both engineer and produce final prototypes. This role is responsible for understands project requirements, leveraging available resources, and delivering high-quality prototypes on budget and on schedule.

Job Responsibility

Lead or support projects as assigned, ensuring departmental deadlines and quality standards are met
Collaborate with internal teams to clarify project details, resolve challenges, and achieve optimal results
Thrives in a collaborative environment and contributes to the overall success of the team
Builds and maintains positive relationships with colleagues across the organization
Actively research, test, and integrate new prototyping techniques and technologies
Engage in cross-training within the department to expand overall prototyping versatility
Set and pursue annual goals to support professional growth
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe Mockup Department workspace
Serve as a mentor to junior team members, fostering skill development and collaboration
Support rapid-turn and high-priority projects, including overtime and weekend work when necessary

Requirements

Proficient with a majority of the core skills required to produce photo-quality packaging prototypes
Comprehensive understanding of all production materials and how best to use them
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
Proven ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
Customer-focused with a commitment to producing the highest quality prototypes in the industry
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal customers and stakeholders
2+ years of professional retail packaging Mockup experience
