Requirements

Minimum 3 years’ experience working independently as a site-based building maintenance technician or as a field based mobile multi-skilled maintenance technician
City& Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Plumbing
Time served apprenticeship, in a Mechanical or Electrical biased discipline is essential
Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety guidelines
Understanding of L8 Legionella ACOP and water temperature checks, TMV checks, tank flushes
A high level of organisation and time management skills in situations where there are sometimes conflicting priorities
Demonstrable fault-finding techniques and ability to read detailed plans
Willing to work Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week with a flexible approach to working hours - some works undertaken at weekends on an ad hoc but planned basis

Job Responsibility

Travelling routinely to the 2 hospital sites to undertake PPM’s and reactive maintenance on the building systems
To manage the timely completion of work orders for planned and reactive maintenance, oversee specialist sub-contract work and remedial work
Undertake mechanical and electrical building maintenance to include but not exhaustively working on air handling Units (AHUs), emergency/power generators, emergency lighting checks, lighting and security systems, HVAC, pumps, legionella temperature check, tanks flushes, plumbing remedial works
Host specialist engineers/manufacturers engineers/contractors on site to undertake specialist remedial/warranty works as required
Plant room walk rounds – undertake any snagging and general maintenance/remedial works on each site as required

Must be fully qualified Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems technician
Three years’ experience as Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems Technician
Must be experienced in hydraulic equipment
Hands-on experience with BEAR assets or similar Department of Defense Agencies Contingency Systems preferred
Must have excellent organizational skills
Must be able to understand, speak, read and write English
Ability to read and understand technical data, plans/blueprints and publications pertaining to USAF Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS)
MAXIMO experience preferred

Erects, inspects and maintains energized and de-energized high voltage electrical distribution systems and related equipment
Operates, maintains, tests, repairs, services, and stores electrical generating equipment, water distribution systems, flood lights, air compressors, and aircraft arresting systems
Performs required inspections and scheduled maintenance, troubleshoots repair situations and performs other maintenance on all assigned equipment
Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS)
Maintains Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS), performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS) and GSE
Inspects, tests, and operates Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS) and GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation
Services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air
Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications
Disassembles and assembles malfunctioning Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS) and GSE accessories and components

Requirements

Previous experience within Compliance Servicing, Legionella Monitoring or Water Treatment is essential
Advanced knowledge and experience of maintaining water systems is desirable
Basic IT skills, including the use of tablets / mobile devices and Microsoft programmes is necessary
The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively is required

Job Responsibility

Complete a range of Legionella maintenance PPMs, remedial cleaning, sampling, chemical testing, minor plumbing and electro / mechanical tasks to meet clients' requirements
Completion of routine monitoring tasks in line with the Approved Code of Practice L8
Travel to client sites and completing the necessary tasks to maintain compliance
Maintain our customer's water log books and complete the necessary documentation in accordance with current guidelines and company policy
Take a variety of water samples from multiple sector properties and document these samples in line with company procedures
Carry out water system clean and disinfections in accordance with the Approved Code of Practice L8 and company procedures
Testing, servicing and maintaining of thermostatic mixing valves and basic plumbing works where required
Communicate on a daily basis with the service department and your supervisor, ensuring that all tasks are carried out efficiently
Maintain adequate stocks of chemicals and materials as necessary
Ensure that any equipment that you are responsible for is properly maintained
