Job Description:

We are recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school’s Blended Learning Team. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to work as a mobile TA, providing 1:1 support to pupils in their homes to help them access and engage with their education. There is no lesson planning involved — your role will focus on supporting learning, building confidence and promoting emotional regulation. All pupils have anxiety and SEMH needs, with many diagnosed as autistic.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting learning, building confidence and promoting emotional regulation
  • Providing 1:1 support to pupils in their homes to help them access and engage with their education
  • Supporting approximately 7 pupils in Years 9–11 across the week

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting young people with SEMH, anxiety, or autism
  • Confidence working independently in a 1:1 setting
  • Calm, patient and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
