Pirtek Thomastown requires a motivated, enthusiastic person who takes pride in their work to join their team as a Mobile Service Technician. Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver consistent, accurate, high quality field service and supply of fluid transfer solutions to customers
  • Provide solutions and build relationships with a varying range of customers
  • Travel to sites within Thomastown and surrounding areas to replace hoses in breakdown situation or complete new installation work on variety of machinery
  • Available for overtime
  • Participate in 24-hour on-call roster

Requirements:

  • Trade/field services experience in Fitting/Mechanical Background and/or Hydraulics
  • Ability to operate machinery, use tools and measuring devices accurately
  • Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
  • Desire to be a team player
  • Ability to arrange and plan priorities
  • Anticipate problems and be pro-active in finding solutions
  • Strong understanding of customer service
  • Have an understanding of OHS and Safe Work Practices
  • Ability to carry out instructions
  • Medically fit for the task
  • Be well presented and groomed
  • Trade certificate
  • A current Manual Drivers’ License and willing to obtain an LR License
  • Flexibility with working hours as after-hours availability is a pre-requisite
  • Currently living in/near or willing to relocate to Thomastown

  • Attending assigned service calls promptly, aiming to be onsite within 30 minutes or as agreed with your Manager upon receiving the work order
  • Generating sales on service calls by upselling additional servicing, products, or revenue streams to customers
  • Maintaining and operating the Mobile Service Unit (MSU) to the highest standards, ensuring all equipment is serviced, calibrated, and in good working order, especially during fieldwork
  • Maintaining the MSU to ensure it is clean, tidy, and well-stocked
  • Completing all logs regularly to ensure they are up-to-date
  • Assembling, supplying, and installing material transfer hoses and tubes per customer requests, utilising the most suitable equipment, products, and methods for efficient and high-quality work that meets customer expectations
  • Seeking advice and support from your Manager in order to clarify any questions you may have
  • Utilising pMOBILE for creating and updating all work orders to maximise efficiency and accuracy
  • Communicating effectively with customers and stakeholders to provide comprehensive information on Pirtek services and capabilities
  • Maintaining thorough customer records, including orders, quotes, and relevant dates
