Job Description:

Job Responsibility:

  • Diagnose vehicle problems and understand the requirements to resolve them
  • Assist customers with issues such as being out of fuel, requiring a tyre repair/change, or a new battery
  • Give customers confidence to head off on their journey with no further interruptions

Requirements:

  • To be 21 years or over for insurance purposes
  • A current Category B driving licence is necessary
  • NVQ Level 2 or similar type of accreditation in light vehicle maintenance is preferred
  • Demonstrate empathy and a desire to always achieve the correct outcome
  • Experience of the Motor Repair industry
  • Display and utilise best practice and first-class Health & Safety behaviours
  • Collaboration with dispatch team to improve the customer claims journey
  • Use self-initiative

  • SME for WYDOT Dispatch consoles, testing, programming, maintenance and setup
  • Uses computer software applications to troubleshoot and program telecom devices
  • Installs and maintains devices that interface to commercial broadband services
  • Installs and maintains CAT5e and CAT6 wiring, and tests circuits
  • Test fiber circuits connecting to the radio sites and connection of fiber endpoints
  • Assists with Installation and integration of communications systems serving roadside Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) components and Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) stations
  • provides ongoing maintenance
  • Serves as 24/7 "Subject to call Technician" and serves on a district emergency on-call rotation and responds to assist with outage repairs
