Job Description

This position requires an individual to serve as a member of an Agile Scrum team. The role involves conducting manual testing of code changes for a mobile application, including pre-release regression testing. The Mobile QA Tester will also assist developers with writing unit test cases and integrating test-driven development (TDD) practices, working on either the iOS or Android platform.

Job Responsibility

  • Independently conduct a wide range of quality-control tests and analyze results to ensure software meets specified standards
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure proper test planning for all work items
  • Create test data, execute test cases, and document defects
  • Track defects to resolution within the defined timeframe
  • Conduct pre-release regression testing as required
  • Work with software development teams to troubleshoot and remediate issues
  • Maintain proactive communication with team members, the Tech Lead, Scrum Master, and Product Owner

Requirements

  • 2+ years in manual regression testing of native applications (iOS or Android)
  • 2+ years serving as part of an Agile Scrum or Kanban team
  • Proficiency with IDEs such as Xcode or Android Studio
  • Knowledge of Git, Jira, and qTest

Nice to have

  • 1+ years of familiarity with mobile testing automation frameworks
  • Experience with Appium
