Requirements

Proven experience as a multi-skilled engineer, preferably within a mobile or field-based role
Strong background in general building maintenance, fabric work, and painting
Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
Basic carpentry skills, including door and lock repairs
Experience with plastering, decorating, and surface preparation (essential)
Relevant qualifications in one or more trades (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) would be advantageous
Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards and regulations
Full, clean UK driving license (essential)
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong attention to detail

Job Responsibility

General Maintenance: Perform reactive and planned maintenance work on a range of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems
Fabric Work & Painting: Handle a variety of fabric works such as painting, plastering, decorating, patch repairs, and general carpentry tasks (e.g., door adjustments, replacing locks, etc.)
Inspection & Repair: Carry out routine inspections, identifying potential issues, and performing the necessary repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation of all building systems
Plumbing: Repair plumbing systems (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains, repairing pipes)
Preventative Maintenance: Complete regular checks on equipment and facilities, ensuring proactive maintenance is undertaken
Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations, carrying out risk assessments, and ensuring work is completed to the highest standards
Customer Service: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to issues quickly and efficiently while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of work completed, including logging jobs on a mobile device, completing paperwork, and reporting to supervisors as required
