Job Description

Hills Quarry Products have an opportunity available for a Mobile Plant Operative to join our team at our Mortimer Quarry, near Reading. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £31,748.43 per annum alongside a great range of benefits.

Job Responsibility

  • Operate fixed and mobile plant as instructed by the Quarry Manager in a correct and safe manner
  • Carry out repair and maintenance work on fixed and mobile plant
  • Cover for the Foreman or Weighbridge Operator in their absence

Requirements

Previous experience using mobile plant including dumpers, loading shovel and 360° excavators in a similar environment and hold certified tickets.

Nice to have

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 (SPMO)
  • Mechanical knowledge
  • Awareness of the Quarry Regulations 1999
