As a Mobile Plant Maintenance Technician, you embody the spirit of teamwork and hold our colleagues in high regard. The prospect of participating in the selection of new plant based on recommendations and devising a meticulous maintenance plan to prevent breakdowns fills you with excitement. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the uninterrupted operation of our surfacing squads, preventing costs from escalating. The essence of this position lies in prioritising maintenance and problem-solving by engaging with the teams and appreciating the value our colleagues bring. You are not one to shy away from getting involved and working in all weather conditions and are not looking for a typical 9 to 5 weekday-only job. In this role, you will have the opportunity to take charge of tasks such as troubleshooting, procuring parts, and maintaining machinery. Your day-to-day responsibilities will also involve monitoring job sheets and ensuring utmost customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a plant mechanic/fitter role with a relevant mechanical qualification or time served

  • A valid driving licence is essential
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Qualities of a team player who remains composed under pressure and is adaptable to change

  • To manage the timely completion of work orders for planned and reactive maintenance, oversee specialist sub-contract work and remedial work
  • Undertake mechanical and electrical building maintenance to include but not exhaustively working on air handling Units (AHUs), emergency/power generators, emergency lighting checks, lighting and security systems, HVAC, pumps, legionella temperature check, tanks flushes, plumbing remedial works
  • Host specialist engineers/manufacturers engineers/contractors on site to undertake specialist remedial/warranty works as required
