Job Description

We are seeking a reliable Mobile Maintenance Operative to support a major government contract. You will travel between sites to deliver essential fabric repairs and reactive maintenance, ensuring all facilities remain safe and high-performing.

Job Responsibility

  • Execute fabric repairs: carpentry, plumbing, flooring, and re-decoration
  • Conduct specialized checks: Fire Door inspections and Fire Door furniture repair
  • Manage Water Hygiene: L8 compliance, tap temperature monitoring, and flushing
  • Perform general upkeep: AHU filter changes, lamping, and drainage clearance
  • Act as first responder for emergency leaks, blockages, and make-safe tasks
  • Supervise subcontractors and update CAFM (Maximo) via mobile devices

Requirements

  • Experience in Carpentry, Plumbing, or Painting (NVQ level preferred)
  • Knowledge of Fire Door maintenance and Legionella control
  • Professional attitude for a client-facing mobile role
  • full UK driving license
  • Ability to participate in an out-of-hours call-out rota
