Job Description

Build the mobile app thousands of drivers rely on daily. As a React Native Engineer at Qargo, you’ll create high-impact, offline-ready features that power real-world logistics across Europe. The mobile app is a critical part of how logistics operations run on the ground. Drivers across Europe and beyond rely on the Qargo mobile app every day to pick up jobs, update delivery statuses, capture signatures, and stay in sync with their planners in real time, from their truck.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and build cross-platform (iOS & Android) features in our React Native & Expo codebase
  • Work with TypeScript and interact with our GraphQL API (Hasura), as well as Firebase/Firestore for real-time data flows
  • Craft intuitive, reliable mobile experiences, from stop completion flows and document capture to real-time status updates and offline resilience
  • Optimise app performance and implement best practices to ensure a smooth experience in the field
  • Be part of a driven and talented Frontend team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve real-world challenges and continuously improve the product

Requirements

  • Master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in mobile development
  • Solid, hands-on experience with React Native and Expo
  • Have shipped production apps to both the App Store and Google Play
  • Comfortable writing clean, typed TypeScript
  • Good grasp of component-based architecture and state management
  • Familiar with GraphQL and working with API-driven mobile apps
  • Passion for solving complex technical challenges and a pragmatic approach to technical trade-offs
  • User-first mentality

  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team
