Job Responsibility

  • Carrying out fault diagnostics on modern diesel engines
  • downloading data
  • ECU familiarity
  • undertaking remote diagnostic work to obtain, evaluate and interpret data to identify likely faults
  • intermediate fault-finding activity and fault resolution via condition monitoring

Requirements

  • NVQ3 as a minimum
  • demonstrable experience of fault diagnostics and remote diagnostics and conditioning
  • experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance of diesel engines and/or propulsion systems and associated electrical control technology, ECU's
  • must be able to prove eligibility to work in the UK

Nice to have

  • ex-forces personnel (RAF, Royal Navy, British Army)
  • experience in Marine, Rail, Automotive, HGV or Bus sector

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously sit, stand, bend, reach, walk, kneel, get up and get down from a seated position, enter, exit, climb into, climb down from, and drive a variety of automobiles, cargo vans and box trucks in all weather conditions
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, lubrication, tire repairs, and potentially warranty repairs, depending on your level of expertise

  • Perform repairs on broken down box trucks or cargo vans, traveling to the vehicle's location to get it back on the road quickly and efficiently
  • May be required to drive a Budget Truck on public access roads
