Job Description:

We’re looking for a full-time Mobile Dispensing Optician (37.5 hours) to join our team covering Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft. This is a twin-town role, supporting both stores which are located around 20 minutes apart, so the successful candidate will need to be able to drive. The practices are busy town centre locations, with one store based within a Boots UK store and the other a freestanding practice, serving a varied patient demographic close to the seaside. You’ll be joining an established and experienced team of 10+ colleagues, including 2 resident Optometrists and a Dispensing Optician, creating a supportive working environment. Store opening hours are Monday to Saturday 9:00–17:30 and Sunday 10:00–16:00, with flexibility across the week. Saturday working is preferred, although alternate weekends may be considered. Both stores are easily accessible, with local parking available and train links within walking distance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and inspire your team to deliver an exemplary customer journey
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to create and deliver the commercial plan
  • Involved in customer service, store operations, and clinical activities (patient pre-screening, dispensing, accuracy checks)
  • Manage a team, helping them develop their knowledge and skills
  • Complete management tasks such as creating and maintaining rotas, return to work reviews, and performance management

Requirements:

  • GOC Registered
  • Experience working in a customer facing role
  • Desire to learn
  • Led or coached a team
