Job Description

Join our mobile imaging team to perform Low Dose CT Lung Screenings and Cardiac Calcium Scoring exams aboard a state-of-the-art mobile CT unit. This role brings lifesaving screening services directly to underserved communities, employer sites, and special events. Responsibilities include performing high-quality CT exams, ensuring patient safety and comfort, operating and driving the mobile CT coach, and representing the organization with professionalism and compassion.

Job Responsibility

  • Competently operates CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures
  • Obtains medical history from patients and compares requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy
  • Positions patient and selects proper scanning factors
  • Prepares and administers contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist
  • Post-processes images as directed and accurately identifies and labels images
  • Prepares and maintains records in accordance with various regulatory agencies
  • Identifies equipment performance issues and performs equipment quality assurance tests and calibration procedures
  • Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties
  • Performs Low Dose CT Lung Screenings and Cardiac Calcium Scoring exams aboard a state-of-the-art mobile CT unit

Requirements

  • ARRT (R) and CT (or eligibility), state licensure, BLS certification, willingness to obtain a CDL
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) needs to be obtained within 18 months
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months
  • Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology
  • Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety
  • Competent in IV and venipuncture
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Intermediate computer skills
