Join our mobile imaging team to perform Low Dose CT Lung Screenings and Cardiac Calcium Scoring exams aboard a state-of-the-art mobile CT unit. This role brings lifesaving screening services directly to underserved communities, employer sites, and special events. Responsibilities include performing high-quality CT exams, ensuring patient safety and comfort, operating and driving the mobile CT coach, and representing the organization with professionalism and compassion.
Job Responsibility
Competently operates CT equipment to perform basic and intermediate diagnostic procedures
Obtains medical history from patients and compares requisitions to physicians' orders to ensure exam accuracy
Positions patient and selects proper scanning factors
Prepares and administers contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist
Post-processes images as directed and accurately identifies and labels images
Prepares and maintains records in accordance with various regulatory agencies
Identifies equipment performance issues and performs equipment quality assurance tests and calibration procedures
Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties
Performs Low Dose CT Lung Screenings and Cardiac Calcium Scoring exams aboard a state-of-the-art mobile CT unit
Requirements
ARRT (R) and CT (or eligibility), state licensure, BLS certification, willingness to obtain a CDL
Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin
Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) needs to be obtained within 18 months
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months
Advanced training beyond High School that includes the completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology
Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety
Competent in IV and venipuncture
Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills
Ability to work independently
Intermediate computer skills
