Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs low voltage electrical devices and systems. Erects, inspects and maintains energized and de-energized high voltage electrical distribution systems and related equipment. Operates, maintains, tests, repairs, services, and stores electrical generating equipment, water distribution systems, flood lights, air compressors, and aircraft arresting systems. Performs required inspections and scheduled maintenance, troubleshoots repair situations and performs other maintenance on all assigned equipment. Ensures compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS).
Job Responsibility:

Maintains Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS), performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS) and GSE
Inspects, tests, and operates Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS) and GSE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation
Services equipment with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, refrigerant, and compressed air
Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications
Disassembles and assembles malfunctioning Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS) and GSE accessories and components
Removes, disassembles repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and reinstalls Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS) and GSE components and accessories
Stencils, and marks Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS) and GSE in accordance with technical publications
Stores, handles, labels, uses, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with all state, local, and federal environmental standards and regulations
Prepares Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS) and GSE for storage and mobility deployment
Operates, cleans, inspects, and services Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS) and GSE
Maintains and updates paper and electronic equipment records
Practices good housekeeping, tool control, Foreign Object Damage prevention, and safety at all times
Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be fully qualified Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems technician
Three years’ experience as Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems Technician
Must be experienced in hydraulic equipment
Hands-on experience with BEAR assets or similar Department of Defense Agencies Contingency Systems preferred
Must have excellent organizational skills
Must be able to understand, speak, read and write English
Ability to read and understand technical data, plans/blueprints and publications pertaining to USAF Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS)
MAXIMO experience preferred
Must possess a valid home country driver’s license
Must possess a valid U.S. Passport
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
Will be required to operate material handling equipment
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust U.S. Government Clearance
U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
Completed factory training on Mobile Aircraft Arresting Systems (MAAS)/BAK-12
Nice to have:
Hands-on experience with BEAR assets or similar Department of Defense Agencies Contingency Systems
